FEBRUARY EXHIBIT: For my lover

For my lover is a scissor society interruption of the commercialism and false binaries of valentine’s day. This show celebrates queer love, with emphasis on romance between women, and mutual subjectivity. The work explores the ways that lesbians nurture and protect one another; both in and beyond the context of romance. The exhibition employs language, through text-based objects, that defy patriarchal norms by redefining power, identity, and love.
